Tarek has been involved with Architecture, Urban Planning, and Real Estate Development on both the academic and professional levels since 1991. He is a published Professor and former faculty member of the Department of Architecture and Design at the American University of Beirut (1991-2003), where he was involved in a wide range of consultancy for both the public and private sectors related to urban and real estate planning and development in the region.

Before co-founding AlMutawir, he served as Consultant for ESCWA, Senior Planning Consultant for Khatib & Alami, Beirut, Development Consultant for UREC, Kuwait, and Director of Real Estate Development at Millennium Development, Beirut.

He completed his undergraduate studies in architecture at AUB, graduate studies in Architecture and postgraduate studies in Planning and Real Estate Development at MIT.

Profile

Omran has been involved with Real Estate Development since the early 1990’s heading some of Kuwait’s largest publicly listed real estate companies.

Before co-founding AlMutawir, he served in a variety of positions. From 1998 to 2005 he served as the Managing Director of United Real Estate Company, where his duties included strategic planning as well as monitoring of company development activities in Kuwait and abroad. Before that, from 1995 to 1998 he served as Deputy Managing Director/General Manager of National Real Estate Company.

He has a number of development projects to his credit, most notably: Marina World Waterfront, and Kuwait Business City, both in Kuwait, and two five-star hotels in Lebanon.

He completed his undergraduate studies in Architecture at the University of Miami, and graduate professional seminars in Project Management and Real Estate development at Harvard.

Mohamed Al Sager

Mr. Al Sager joined AlMutawir in July 2018. Furthermore, he runs a separate family business, with his brothers, since 1987.

After 1991, he and his brothers took their business to a new level, where they were able to grow the food division to be a leader in its segment in Kuwait, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

In 1994 they started a retail fashion business, which currently operates in Kuwait and the GCC countries with over 280 stores.

In addition, Mr. Al Sager is on the Board of one of the main Islamic Banks in Kuwait.

Mr. Al Sager completed his B.Sc. in Public Administration in 1987 from Point Parks University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA”
